Angry TIME Magazine Cover

Have you seen the cover!! They use the picture of the flag raising on Iwo Jima and put a tree in place of the flag! I personaly think that it was wrong to use that type of pic due to the men who lost there lives there. Just a opinion, but it makes me mad...

Since when has Time ever given a flip about our military or our country?

Don't buy it. If you must read it, go to the public library.

The censor wouldn't let me say what I think. I just know that deep in their little minds lurks the knowledge that they are kept free by men and women, much much better than they are.

Naaah, Pinckney. They don't think that at all. There is no possible way that they could acknowledge or feel that some trailer trash could possibly be better than they are. After all, they went to nifty schools and you didn't. They didn't tote the M60 because they had dolts like you to do it for them.

Better stop now. I'm getting steamed.

Did you gentlemen see the move, "Flags of Our Fathers"? If there's an ounce of truth in that story about how that picture came to be and what they did with it afterwards,

Well .....

I wouldn't be surprised if they TP'd that tree. I expect they would if it'd sell more tickets or magazines or whatever they're pushing.

It is a true story.James Bradley the author is the son of John Bradley a Navy Corpsman who is one of the flag raisers in the photo. Of the six in the photo only Bradley, Rene Gagon and Ira Hayes left the island alive. The other three Sousley, Block and Strank were killed on Iwo Jima.
