Larry,
Many people today even those interested in "The Civil War" don't think about or really care about the preservation of these Sites. What I consider important is the effect the war had on not just the land but the families who lived in it's path. During the Battle of Stones River, Murfreesboro, Franklin and the otheres in the area, I had families that were in the middle at one way or another.

The best example is the Battle Of Stones River. The battle maps of the area inparticular from Dec., 30, 1862 thru Jan. 3, 1863, puts the Gresham House in the way of both sides at different times. Gresham Ln. is all I know of that is left of our famly's home.

All the help that can be mustered to save these sites is needed, but what kind and how can this be done ?

My Regards
March Forword, Never Retreat

Mike
