Shane....awesome. The online presentation is very nice. I took the Post-Bulletin every day when I lived in Rochester. Have never checked the online edition. Very cool, professional presentation, especially with the voices, music, musket sounds, and the drum. The drumbeat is very somber. Excellent. Thanks for posting it. Didn't know you are from Red Wing. I walked the old brick mall there a few times. I forgot what it was before it was turned into an antique mall. Took a wrong turn in Red Wing once. Ended up in Wisconsin. Never knew there was a bridge in that town until I was driving over the Mississipp.

Brick Mall was where they used to make the Red Wing pottery. Red Wing is one of those towns that grows on you. The views from the bluffs are truly stunning and the area has a charm; I like to drive the countryside just to see the views.
Looks as though we might be doing Zumbrota annually as we were quite a hit... especially the donuts my better half made. The kids we taught on Saturday loved it.
I am in Indy this week... hope to get a look at the Indiana CW monument in downtown Indy again. Any other suggestions?

Well, I was going to advise you to stay off I-65 and the beltway, but I think they caught the sniper today. Other than that, really don't know what all is up in Indy, as far as the CW goes. Don't get up there too often. I'm sure there are some CW cemeteries up that way.
Do they still make those great shoes in Red Wing?

Say, nice presentation! Are you from Red Wing as william42 suggests? I am just across the river from Lake City myself.
Anyway, splendid piece of video, glad to see that fancy pipe of yours up close (great design).
In Indy, I went out to Crown Hill Cemetery and visited Benjamin Harrison, but then again, I collect 'dead presidents' as I've mentioned on other posts. It isn't the true Dead President Tour until my picture is taken in front of the grave. Oh, and at that same cemetery, Eli Lily's grave is located, and it is pretty spectacular for artistic merit. I want to say he was a Colonel, and I am sure someone will correct me here. Also, the State Capitol building is worth a look, as all around it are statues of Indiana governors, and a lot of interesting information about their war efforts. Indianapolis is a pretty interesting CW town, just like most I guess, you can find it if you look! That monument to the Soldiers and Sailors is amazing, especially at night.

Yes, they still make those great shoes and boots in Red Wing. My husband loves to go to the shoe repair guy there who sells seconds (hardly can see what's wrong with them).
Oh, and the Red Wing Pottery collectors are meeting in Red Wing soon, maybe even this week, as they were putting up the banners today as I drove through.

Thanks Miss Markie. You know more about Indy than I do. I was up there a bunch in high school for state music solo contests, and I've seen the Soldiers and Sailors monument. It is pretty spectacular for sure. About the only other thing I can say is that David Letterman and Kurt Vonnegut hail from there. Oh yeah, I ate at a breakfast buffet right off I-465 one Sunday morning,..it was the Admiral's something or other. It was 16 below zero that morning, and I thought that was cold. But that's before I moved to Minnesota.
Hey, just by the way, that sniper that they nabbed today... Did you hear that he had a copy of the manuscript of Gary Yee's book in his car? I don't know, maybe I heard that wrong.

Kudos, Shane, and the people who put together the presentation. Shows how much fun can be had at even a small gathering. Historicaly Correct: Did you get that?
