Tommy,

Then come to Guyandotte, WV, and trip that light fantastic!

The first weekend in November is Guyandotte, and I have had the pleasure of dancing with many, beautiful, Southern belles who took my breath away. And a few Northern ladies who had the same effect. The gowns and dresses and dances were wonderful and I am so glad that I took the time to learn period dancing.

One delightful custom of the time was you could only dance the first dance, and the last dance, with your wife, every other dance HAD to be with a different woman!

GOD, I love history and tradition!

Here's hoping you get your wish,
Unionblue

I shall let you know how that event goes for you all. My friends are attending the event. I don't know if they are going to the ball, but it is just a fantastic event from what I have heard. We were going to go last year, but ended up at an event in our own back yard here at Old World Wisconsin.

Now Neil, yes that is a tradition, but I know you have alterior motives!

Our group puts on a New Years Gala! This is our thrid year and we always have a marvoulous turn out. All in period clothes, and yes the dresses are always wonderful. Anyone in the area on New Years and wants to come give me a hollar. It is a family event, and there is no alcohol allowed, which we have had great reception to.

Jenna
