The 7,000-pound main battery pivot gun of the Confederate sea raider CSS Alabama is headed to the underwater archaeology lab at Texas A&M University.

Much as I, a Red Raider and a Longhorn, hate to admit it, those Aggies do good work. It should be worth a trip to see, if only that didn't mean I had to go to College Station (shudder).
