In a study released last week, the Coalition to Save Chancellorsville Battlefield claimed that Dogwood Development Group used gimmicks to hide costs and overstate the benefits of its proposed development proposal for the Mullins Farm.

The press release from the Coalition to Save Chancellorsville is at http://www.civilwar.org/preservation...2002-12-04.htm.

As a bit of advocacy on my part -- please read the report and write a letter to the Spotsylvania County officials asking them to conduct an independent financial analysis on the development plans for the Mullins Farm. You can do this using the National Parks Conservation Association web site at http://www.npca.org/take_action/action_alerts/ActionAlert.asp?strAction=link&lng AlertID=262&G=1. Or, if you wish, you can find email addresses, postal addresses and phone numbers for Spotsylvania County Board of Supervisors members at http://www.civilwar.org/preservation/chancellorsville/getinvolved_supervisors.ht m.

Thanks!
