A reenactor march to show support for preservation at Chancellorsville, orginally scheduled for December 14th, has been postponed indefinitely. The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) was unwilling to allow reenactors to march along roads near the Mullins Farm.

In the meantime, the hearing on the Dogwood Development Group of Reston's plan to build 1,995 homes and up to 2.2 million square feet of stores and offices on nearly 800 acres of rolling farmland off State Route 3 known as Ashley Farms or the Mullins farm has been postponed by the Spotsylvania County's Board of Supervisor's. Bob Hagan who successfully ran in the early November special election to fill a vacated supervisor position will have the opportunity to vote on the issue. Hagan ran in opposition to the development.
