I guess I'm old fashioned but I could care less what your political motives are or what offends you, you do not mess with graves. Next they will say lets dig them up and reintern them on the other side of the fence. That'll teach em'...sorry. I'm feeling testy.

Can't blame you for feeling testy. If you can't fly a Confederate flag at a cematary over Confederate dead, then where can you fly the darn thing?

On this one, I am 100% behind the both of you. The man in the article has even said it's history, it's the flag they fought under and they should have the right to keep it there.

It is here that I feel there should be no objection as this was the history of these men and the flag they died for.

Let's hope some common sense breaks out.

This is where PC goes too far. That's why people with Confederate ancestors have to KEEP fighting.

What annoys me is the Historic Preservation of Elmwood and Pinewood Cemetery is a great group. Not in Any way somehow Pro Confederate.
Attacks like this are just too PC. This is just using an 'issue' to further agendas. I find the mention of vandalism as proof of how much people are opposing it very disturbing. It is simply criminal. I cannot find a motive for grave desecration in my books. Heck, I'm extremely iffy on archeology on those grounds. If I was a native American I'd be a wee bit ticked off.
