Well......while I agree with this guy I must ask myself, if Dixie suffered the same treatment by military bands for the same reasons, what makes this one any different? There was a day when Dixie was played by military bands. No one thought twice about banning Dixie so I see no reason these should not be banned as well. Fair is fair. Heck, Dixie even had Lincoln's endorsement.
It goes along the direct lines of the banning for society of the CBF...and it
is being banned. Contrary to the Constitution and the spirit to which we were founded. When later other flags and other symbols are being banned, why should I care? Same with the songs...He has a point. I have often pointed out how offensive Garry Owen is. To me it is a catchy tune forever tainted. Banning it will not change that. It is all a silly business and one I cannot wrap my head around.
