Thank you, I have seen the post you have mentioned and now Thea's post makes sense. I have nothing but contempt for those who would seek to destroy history, either its written word or its historical places, no matter what their background, religion or race.
History is history, no matter if it is flattering or hateful, uplifting or dark, we must preserve it and learn from it or we will be truly lost as a people and a nation. Those who set fire to this historical landmark are the lowest of the low as they seek to deprive all of us from the chance to learn from history and the men and women who created it. To erase history, no matter how much you may disagree with it, is to erase the memory of the nation, a crime that forces us to repeat its mistakes.
