Default The great rebellion?

I would think a better name for the war would be, "The Great Resistance" rather than the great rebellion. Think of it like this. If the United Nations decided it was going to take over the United States and decide what was best for you and your family based on its own ideals and concepts of right, would you not resist? Would you be willing to fight in a war against them? Would you be angry at the thought that in 150 years people would be making fun of you for fighting against the UN when they had all the best things in mind for you? It's kind of like a new car design. When the new design first comes out, you say, "That is so ugly!", then a few months or years later you change your tone. Thats what happened in the US. The Confederates said this new design is ugly. We would say the UN design is ugly and it wouldn't be about the amount of water in a tea cup or about slavery as people in the future might put in books.

Confederate Outlaw,

The official name for the conflict is "The War of the Rebellion."

I believe the "official" name down here was The War of Northern Agression, or as some have said "the late Unpleasantness".
