Silly me emailed them to some paranormal investigators in NJ and they couldn't explain them... Mind you they needed to be enhanced because they were completely black otherwise...

Did you see these yourself, and that's why you took pics, or did they just appear in random pics you took?

As a second quetion, do you think ghosts (spirits, etc.) would appear as vague dots of light in the sky?

I'd expect to meet a ghost on the ground, maybe emerging from the woods, or someting. Then I have never met a ghost.

Tho I'd like to believe that is is possible.

Some of the brighter ones appeared a little bit on the preview screen of my camera, but otherwise they were completely black when I printed them out. I had to turn up the "brightness/contrast" to see anything. Even after that most of them contained nothing unusual.

Perhaps. On the chance of sounding like a complete lunatic: I've heard it takes a lot of energy for a spirit to manifest itself as a full-bodied apparition so they most often appear as balls of light.

Highfly: Your orbs are visible and superb. I'm told that only digital cameras can capture orbs. Is this correct? My former friend and employer at WNIN Channel 9, a PBS affiliate, made ghost hunting a hobby. His name is Hugh Wittenbraker. He and I played in bands together in college. He died last year at age 51. He had all the high-tech monitoring equipment that he and his group would set up at different sites. He showed me many digital photos with orbs, taken at old cemeteries, and some that were taken right in the old Carpenter building, where Channel 9 broadcasts from.

I have a digital camera, but at no time have I seen any orbs in any photos I've taken. Honestly, I would like to believe that there are spirits dwelling in certain places. But I don't really have proof, just first-hand accounts from people such as Hugh. There was once a show on Discovery channel maybe,(?) that featured guys with high-tech monitoring equipment who would investigate para-normal phenomena. It was a series for a while, don't know if it's still running, but I never saw a show where they actually thought they had a bonafide, verifiable entity on tape. There was always a logical and physical explanation for whatever sounds, sights, noises, they were called on to investigate. Never did they find a spirit, at least as long as I was watching. But, as I said, like the poster in Mulders office, "I want to believe." Just need the danged evidence!

Good thread here.

Here's an article I found: positives and negatives of digital cameras. I use my digital for everything, but my mom with my little 35mm was on this tour as well and her pictures didn't catch anything.

There's a show on the Travel Channel called "Most Haunted" and it sounds a lot like what you're thinking. Sure they've got bumps, bangs, footsteps, orbs/light anomalies, and the psychic supposedly being possessed by spirits, but never anything concrete. Plus it's a tv show, we never know what goes on in the editing room (as my mom points out whenever I'm watching it).

Visit Fort Taylor, Florida and you will not only see orbs in your digital pics, but you probably will also see spirits around the post. I know, I have seen them numerous times. And, many others have seen these spirits--the most recent sighting was this past weekend during our reenactment at Fort Taylor. My photo disc is at work--I'll post some images tomorrow for y'all.

I've never seen a ghost and would probably keel over and die on the spot if I did, LOL. The photos are very interesting. I have heard some folks say that you can capture orbs with a regular film camera, but I've never done it or I dismissed it as dust on my lens.

Is it axiomatic that any of these 'orbs' must be 'ghosts'?
