Residents of this housing development have reported the apparitions of Civil War soldiers walking through their homes. The land was the site of the Battle of Kolb Farm, a Civil War skirmish in which several soldiers died. According to homeowners Katherine & James Tatum, who moved to Kolb Ridge in 1986, the figure of a man wearing a hat and dark overcoat starting appearing in the upstairs rooms. The sightings continue to this day, and the Tatums have traced a number of mischievous, unexplainable events to their ghost.
