The ghost of a Civil War soldier walks the center staircase here. The unseen presence even helps himself to a drink from the bar on occasion. The sounds of his heavy boots and the clanging of invisible glasses are heard by both employees and patrons. Sometimes the ghost signals his displeasure with a topic of conversation by moving pictures on the wall.
