Default You're Back Home!

Excellent trip that you took. I read your previous post on the Dodge Charger, too bad you didn't get one, they're pretty fun to drive, but the new one has four doors and Charger enthusiasts are bummed about that. Think you'll enjoy your trip to New Orleans, but if you go to the bathroom and your wife has some beads you could be in trouble ;-)

Default Beads!

Ah, you've been here before, CW!

Seriously: DON'T wear beads here. It will mark you as a tourist, and a dumb one at that (what a friend and I refer to as "tourons"). The locals never wear beads, except what they catch at parades, which happen only about a baker's dozen days of the year (Mardi Gras season, and St. Patrick's).

Default Not always!

I must tell a funny personal anecdote. My wife is a Mardi Gras fanatic! Every year we go to Bourbon Street on Mardi Gras day. She systematically works the crowd of bead throwers, but doesn't flash. She ends up with so many beads that the TV stations and newspaper interview her as "the girl with the most beads."

But otherwise: I know what you mean!
