Rah,

Can I come? I'll sleep in the car and you won't even know that I'm there. Seriously though, you and your son have a wonderful time. I went to Gettysburg for the first time this summer and I think that I'm still in complete awe of all that I saw. And I didn't even see everything that I wanted to.

I was there in 1956. Has it changed? (I know, just a senior moment.)

Default Too late

Too late Terry. Already happened. Ms Rad gave me the idea to take him . Never saw him so "up" for it. I'll take plenty photos.

Rad:
You didn't give the age of the grabber. 'Spect that any time spent with "the dad" would be precious for him. Better soak up some more learnin.' Don't want to have no answers and make the old man look stupid.

Gawd, I envy you and this opportunity! Does it get any better than that?

I should clarify that my own son was born in '62. And I wish I had taken him to this or that battlefield. Never did. And now he doesn't know why I get excited about battlefields. Flash. It's not too late. Although my dear, sweet daughter-in-law might give him a ration, I can push him over that edge. Hmmmm.

Great idea, Bart. Guess I'll simply ask. Demand. Stomp. What a great idea. Hey, Dan, what say we go down to Shiloh and I can share with you my passion. Hadn't thought about that. Could work. Don't get to spend that much time with him as it is. Thanks for the idea. I'll give it a try.

I have found that there is always room for being surprised at who in your family or circle of friends might be just thrilled to death to be asked to share your interest in CW sites. I agree with JerseyBart, go ahead and make the plans!
