Sam -

This is an excellent piece; thanks for posting it! Believe it or not, it's hard to find 'see-Jane-run' Civil War material that a person new to the Civil War can understand (a lot of time it's either over my head or the authors assume the readers already know basic terms, etc.,). This is perfect!
