He might push Grant's right back some but Grant's not retreating unless somehow the right turns the entire army to running (highly doubt this happens).

Grant would've met the attack at a re-drawn position like Shiloh, then when the Confederates have spent their smaller army attacking him he would hit back and just keep going like he did anyways.
