What if you could go back and meet anyone from the Civil War period who would it be and why?

Jason, I've often wondered if it's possible to meet some of those folks from that era, when my time comes to cross over to the other side. Yeah I know it sounds hokey and kind of lame, but wouldn't it be a reward in itself, just to be able to find your favorite Civil War participant, and actually be able to ask him/her the questions that you've had in your mind for years?

It's a no-brainer for me. If I could, I'd look up Mr. Lincoln. I've got a boat-load of questions for him if I ever had the chance to meet with him. I'm under no illusions that a chance for an encounter with him, is at all likely or even remotely possible, however brief, ...but it's fun to think about it once in a while.

Good thread, Jason. Brings about pleasant thoughts, at least for me.

Thats a tough one, probably Forrest. He'd have great tales for around the fire. Even though a lil' after the fact I'd like to talk with the Jame's boys, about them being gurillas and the like, that part of the history always gets to me.
