Now, I will start off by saying that I believe Hood was hands down the worst army commander of the war. And not much better of a corps commander.
I would love to see where Bory had the power to influence Hood's actions. If he did, please show me the orders. Hood had only himself to blame for the Atlanta fiasco and the Tennessee campaign.
I wouldn't doubt it. Given Bory's record, certainly not brilliant we must admit, I have little doubt in my mind that he could have done something better than Hood.
Pardon Admiral, that wasn't a SHOUT... just trying to distinguish between the live type-o-er and memorex. As you've doubtless surmised, I don't know much about bro Beauregard except that he was at Shiloh and later in north Alabama in 1864-65. I'm still learning and am thankful for your input.
