Forrest lost a Brigade and was transferred

What if Forrest had not lost the Brigade to Wheeler that set off the explosion w/ Bragg that led to his transfer out of the AoT.

What might have Forrest done that Wheeler didn't? What might the ramifications of those actions have been? Would it have radically altered the campaigns around Chatanooga? Might his presence have gone so far as to prevent the debacle at Missionary Ridge?

Just wondering what some of you think.

I know one thing Forrest woudnt have been lolly gaging around drinking up all the surrounding john barley corn.

Wheeler had as much control over his men as one would have control of a car with slick tires on ice and snow and trying to dive blindfolded..

I think the moose was in the garden when Chattanooga was lost. Two much US army for the Confederates to repell at length in the Georgia campaign. Forrest had some value, but he didn't have the manpower to back up his genius.
