Forrest lost a Brigade and was transferred What if Forrest had not lost the Brigade to Wheeler that set off the explosion w/ Bragg that led to his transfer out of the AoT.
What might have Forrest done that Wheeler didn't? What might the ramifications of those actions have been? Would it have radically altered the campaigns around Chatanooga? Might his presence have gone so far as to prevent the debacle at Missionary Ridge?
Just wondering what some of you think.
