Default The Same.....But Different?

I came across this little bit of history and thought how ironic, as were so many things during the war. I thought instead of just telling everyone I thought we might have a little fun. Who was John Wilson Buckner, and in what action was he injured?

Hint.

He served in South Carolina, wounded June 12, 1863.
