Default Arkansas chain of command

My great grandfather served with the !!th Wis Inf at Bayou Cache Ark. I would like to figure out his chain of command. All I know is Col Harris, but not who were above him. Can anyone help? Thanks

Russ

Russ:

My references are slim, but at the time of the Big Black River Bridge, the 11th was in Lawler's Brigade (2nd) with the 21st, 22nd and 23d IA, Col C.L. Harris, commanding. Lawler's was part of the 14th Division (BG Eugene A. Carr) of the XIII Corps under McClernand.

It is likely, but not necessarily so, that the same chain holds true for Bayou Cache, AR. Someone else will come along with better information tomorrow.

Welcome aboard, sir, and I hope you keep posting.
Ole
