I do not want to see references to Kennedy or Bush or Carter or any contemporary in this thread. This sort of thing goes into Campfire Chat where anything goes. It does not go here. You want to trash Lincoln, that's fine.You want to trash Bush. Take it somewhere else. One way or another, we will stay on topic.

In your argument the question is:

Did the Fugitive Slave Act delay the inevitable march toward war or did cause the inevitability of war?

I think you might find it was the latter.....
