Default The Truth of the War Conspiracy of 1861

Okay, friends, and fellow citizens...

http://dlg.galileo.usg.edu/georgiabooks/pdfs/gb5130.pdf

What do you make of this? Cash says it is propaganda. Yet he does not elaborate.

Anyone care to tackle this? It is pretty d a m n i n g stuff!

Yankee Rebuttals, please! I know the guy is, like, talking to his Blade, or something... but between all the period flowery
gush is a lot of (gulp!) and 'oh,really?!'

I'd be interested to get the Dark Blue Side's analysis!

Going to assume that it's my bad connection and not your bad link. Meanwhile, are we going to, again, have a look at your role as court jester?

For those interested in a -- how shall I put it -- more balanced view, you might try Russell McClintock's Lincoln and the Decision for War.

"And the jester, on the sidelines, in a cast?" -AMERICAN PIE

No, this seems to be fairly serious. I bought the book from Greg Durand's confederatereprint.com company (author of AMERICA'S CAESAR). He has great deals. I got it for something like $7.00 and a couple bucks shipping).

And, just out of curiosity, where has the INVASION thread been 'moved' to?

Most likely some "unbiased" group decided it should be deleted.

My guess would be moved for a review by the mod gods. You children need to learn how to play nice!

I don't know if I feel like one of the 300 Spartans, or one of the 300 Newpapers!

Cool!

Default The truth of the war conspiracy..... .

Somehow, I would picture Beowulf to have been a Thespian or more likely as one of the Theban hostagess, who surrendered at Thermopylae (although, if there is really justice in this world, I see him as being one of the Helots forced to fight and die with with their Spartan Masters, to no good purpose)
