Sorry, guys. I'm still bummed out at Bill's passing. That's a hard thing to have. I argued with him and I hated him and I miss him.

The MAC is the absolute coolest computer ever made! And if those PC contraptions of your's didn't have the TRUTH-BLOCK engaged, you might be able to read something other than that state-approved blather!

To All,

I am through with this man.

Unless he posts Civil War related posts, he is off my radar.

Somewhere in the fundamentals of this board is an "ignore" option. Never did, until now, figure I'd ever find a reason to use it. We have all argued with some fine people with whom we had a difference of opinion. But our discussions and disagreements always centered around some CW-related subject.

Will be back when I've found that option.

So, then, you don't consider my topic worth posting upon, neither my opinion worth consideration as it relates to the Confederacy. I'd say you were through with me before we even started!

Five pages and none of you sees fit to address the thread topic.

Curious.

To my way of thinking, then, you concede the point by default, and the site Cash brought to us is justified as written.

Mr. H.W. Johnstone was correct in his views and the facts he presented, since none from this very vocal group cares to debate his facts, findings, nor anything else on the site.

Thank you all for your time.

No Beowulf I think it is because you are doing your best to put a stick in the eye of any who might disagree w/ you. You can't keep your modern political agenda out of the conversation. In short when you start talking about the CW maybe you'll be worth talking to.

What I find fascinating is that you wish to segregate this time, and while you will allow some discussion of the Colonial Founding Fathers to enter herein, anything after the War is off limits!

Yet, the two philosophies are as alive today as they were at that time. In fact, the very reason that the Conservatives lost control of the government was a three way split between Bell, Breckinridge and Douglas.

And today, the Libertarians, the Neo-Confederate Evangelicals, and the GOP are still divided into three different parties; the EXACT SAME THREE divisions...

Where it was Slavery, before, now it is the Confederate South, as an art form, which is still (quite erroneously) identified with.... SLAVERY! (And of course, religion also divides us, thanks to our exposures to the Modern World).

Fine. I am through showing you this parallel. But consider one other thing, sir...

If these three ever do get back together, in a Jeffersonian Anti-Federalist allegiance, the Left will go back to being the defeated WHIGS they were originally!

And the Conservative South will have won that war, at long last!

Without the Slaves, which were more of a problem to that nation than they were ever worth, to anyone!

I'm done!
