that the Federal government decided to give former slaves equality and voting privileges 50 years before it recognized the same privilege to women. The US had even outlawed liquor before granting the fairer sex the right to vote.

So, if I read this rightly, women should have far more rights to claim reparations than any other group. After all, they were not technically citizens of the US until August 18, 1920.
