Default Gettysburg out of Lego?

This is a video that some kid made depicting Gettysburg out of Lego. While it isn't an accurate depiction of the battle by any stretch of the meaning I commend the kid for his creativity:

Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2N-e...eature=related

I want to know where he got the Legos of the cannons, etc. My kid would kill to have those.

And I do commend him on his creativity.

I know, not too accurate really, but funny to watch.

At last I understand the complexities of that battle. Who needs Ed Bearss anyway?

He's the next George Lucas/Steven Spielberger. Cheaper than hiring live actors, making expensive props, hiring stage hands. He does need to work on the lighting though.

Regarding Pickets charge:

General Lee: "It may seem like a stupid plan...."

there seem to be quite a few 'Lego' movies out there including other battles like New Orleans and Bunker Hill.....you have to take a lot of pictures to get it to look right.....

I wasn't too fond of it myself. The video itself wasn't bad for a leisure project, but it was a history project for school as he stated. In that case, I would have tried to make it more historically accurate than anything.

I know, I'm a critic.
