You're in command of the Army of Northern Virginia. Will the hindsight of hystery help you lead the Army to victory?

So it said, but if you had looked at it, you actually lead the Army of Northern Virginia. Besides, what difference does it make? It's a simulation and a test of your ability to make command decisions.
