Default Anyone hear anything about a tooth?

I had the car radio on as I was driving to my bus stop this morning. At about 6:50, the announcer gave the following little "teaser" to promote the upcoming 7:00 news report.

"A tooth has been found at Gettysburg that solves a 144-year-old mystery - details at 7:00."

Obviously, a 144-year-old mystery dates to 1863, so presumably the mystery related to the Battle of Gettysburg.

Unfortunately, by the time 7:00 had arrived, so had my bus, so I could not stay in my car and listen to the news report.

I saw nothing about the mysterious tooth either in today's newspaper or on this evening's TV news.

Has anyone else heard anything about this tooth, or have any idea what mystery it would be key to solving?

I Googled "Tooth Gettysburg" and it came up with the story. Not smart enough to figure out gto get it as a link here. Tooth with a note found in some relics from the battle lwith a note identifying who ite belonged to. A Confederate Lt. Named Danials. He and his brother were booth killed at Gettysburg. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the links.

I've had the pleasure of going on a couple of battlefield walks with Wayne Motts. He is truly passionately devoted to the history of Gettysburg. If anyone would have gone to the time and trouble to seek out living relatives of Lt. Daniel, Wayne would be the guy.
