Default Washington, D.C. militia

Anybody know where I can find diaries, journals or memoirs of members of the militia? I'm interested in their activity right before the war.

Not a diary, memoire or personal reminiscence, But Cry Havoc, by Nelson Lankford does provide a nice description of the chaos among the militias in Washington during the build-up after Sumter. Seems the most well-armed groups were secesh. (John B. Floyd strikes again!)
