Default 1861 Appoinment Letter Signed by Abraham Lincolc AUTHENTIC

Spates Auctions has recently consigned an august sixth 1861 appointment letter signed by Abraham Lincoln. The letter gives general William J. Nichols control over the Baltimore ports. The Letter has been Authenticated and is nearly in perfect condition. The signature is very bold. Please email me with any question or images or if you have any information on this piece, as I am not by any means an expert. This piece will be sold Nov 10 in Northern Virgina. Please contact at bradspates@gmail.com

Default Similar Type Document

Each piece is unique, but from what you have written perhaps the above document can serve as a guide? Would you consider an appointment to be similar to a promotion?

The value of these one of a kind documents is so difficult to determine, there is a high subjective element to it....

It is worth whatever the highest bidder will pay. It would seem that it's value is very high, but only if the number of bidders is packed with collectors of Lincolnalia. Suggest that you get onto such sites and publicize.
