Default Dana reports Mede to be replaced

I understand, one of the main reasons that the above noted meeting was, probably, because if Grant left his Hq's and went to Fortress Monroe, it would leave Gen. Butler as Senior Officer Commanding, at Petersberg. The thought of which, might shake even Grant.
