Overall a great post. I'm glad you straitened out about it being the sick he was seeing flee to the rear.. maybe you could put that somewhere in the main body. It was obvious to me he had to have seen somebody straggling rearward but I couldn't reconcile it with your analysis. After reading that it all makes sense.

You know.. wikepedia can be updated and changed by anybody.. maybe you should think about that if the wikepedia entry is wrong as you say

Ok, and please ask yourself why Sedwick AND Richardson are both north of the Chickahominy. At what point does McClellan take responsibility for having a weak left arm?

McClellan doesn't take responsiblilty for anything. Any weak arm that was present was soley the fault of some general or other not obeying his commands. Little Napolean was infallable.
