Interesting discussion. It reminds me of historian Frank L. Owsley's comment for a Confederate tombstone. The epitaph would read, "Died of States' Rights."

I don't know of any government which has been honored with a monument.

Governments tax and spend, send people to war, have bureaucrats and red tape.

Anybody know of a monument to the Federal Government of 1861-1865?
I don't...
...so what's the purpose of this thread?
