Never criticize the Confederate Government for starting the war and never having the logistical ability of winning the war?
Never criticize Robert E. Lee for his generalship? It was all the other Confederate generals fault! Inspite of the fact Lee was in charge of who was a general in the Army of Northern Virginia.
Never criticise Robert E. Lee for losing the war, because it was too painful to contemplate losing the war in the first place.
Never ask when the war was lost? It was painful enough that they surrendered at Appomattox.
Never question if the Confederates were fighting because the Yankees were down here? Down here in Gettysburg and down here in the U.S. Territory of New Mexico.
Never ask Virginians why they seceded, when they never had a good plan beforehand, to defend adequately the counties near Washington, D.C., and the counties west of the Allegheny Mountains?
