I was at the reenactment of the first battle of Bull Run in 1961 at the age of 14 watching those poor guys in 102 degree heat do their thing. While I was entranced with all the little blue and gray ants running around in the distance, my sister was playing with the NPS Ranger's horses.
We still have motion picture film (16MM) from that day.
