Civil War Memoirs by Europeans

I know that Heros von Borcke who served with Stuart and Regis de Trobriand who served in the Army of the Potomac both penned their memoirs. How popular were their memoirs in Europe? I'm curious as to the 19th Century European interest in our family feud called the Late Great Unpleasantry Between States.
