LOL Ronmm4, I must say a lot fo my Australian black powder shooting friends are very green with envy as Shiloh's don't come easy in Australia.
8th va cav and Shane you guy sound like you have had some fantastic results! how did you guys go about making up your paper cartridges, i have been reading on several forums and some are for and against for things like fillers (to fill out the cartridge so it is flush), loose ball and powder, whether all the paper should be nitrated, what to use as fillers, and techniques for making cartridges. It makes me feel like ive bit off more than I can chew. What other factors are important in making sharps paper cartridges reliable and accurate? Have any of you guys got any start to finish methods of cartridge production.

Jimbos, My sharps was a metallic cartridge.. never did really have outstanding accuracy w/ the paper of skin cartridges I fired.

8thVACav... did some buffalo shoots and some match shoots when I was in the USAF. Scored well but never the top scorer. Then I always thought it was more of a skill to shoot accuretly offhand than from a bench. My best work was at a bench and I don't credit my accuracy w/ my skill but w/ the quality of the firearm and cartridge. My own skill isn't that great offhand, as I said I credit the rifle and the ammunition.

Ditch the pyrodex, switch to Goex or an equivelant... far better performance. More of a mess to clean up, but nothing is easy that's worth it.
