Would anyone happen to know an estimate of the number of Irish born, and Irish descent, on both sides, that were killed in battle?

Dear Mike,

Although it doesn't actually answer your question, you will find a great deal of invaluable information on Irish Confederates in Kelly J. O'Grady's "Clear The Confederate Way: The Irish In The Army Of Northern Virginia".
