I did drag it kicking and screaming to get it set right. 240 bucks later it is still unreconstructed. I'd have been better off just lettin' it go its way and put my money towards a new one. Now we are both miserable.
I had to recently take my home computer to a shop to get it cleaned of spy ware and virus that had knocked it out cold. Had to order Windows 98, Edition II before the guy could clean out and then upload it. Talk about a pain in the butt!
That's why I do most of my postings to the board via my work computer. Seems to have better safeguards than the ones I can afford at home.
Good luck with it. Sounds like your computer has developed some Southern traits all its own.

I have excellent virus protection and decent firewall. I'm not sure what exactly is my problem. I get 5 different answers from 3 different "experts."
Have you considered Ad-Aware? It is a spyware removal system. Free and dead easy to use. You'd be amazed at what you can pick up.
Mark Twain is a favorite of mine to get quotes from. I love his acerbic wit. PBS did a show on his trip around the world. Funny guy and Very quick.

I have loaded a new spy ware program that was free and does the trick for me now. I am so parinoid I now run the dam thing every time I return from traveling the internet.
As for computer experts, I let my grand kids amaze me at how quickly they can load and play their favorite game and learning programs. Talk about feeling like a dinosaur! Guess I was too late for a lot of things in my life. Too late for the sexual revolution of the '60's, too late for computers and email, but just right for the Army and Basic training! What the heck, you can't have everything!

Hey, Betamax was the better system. It was the superior product. Lamentably it was just not the product of those with superior marketing abilities. I held off buying a pc til I felt the systems in place might be around a while. Less than 6 months later.......and they were on sale no less.
Rather than fuss around trying to find the passage on the Internet, I pulled out the book.
Tommy was right, the passage can be found in Mark 9:38-40.
In the King James Version, it reads as follows:
38 And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbade him, because he followeth not us.
39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
Well, this is just great! I already had Ad-Aware on my new computer, put there by my daughter with instructions not to TOUCH THIS! After she put it on there I started getting all this spam and since I didn't know any better I just bought a forty dollar thing last night to detect spyware and installed it! This is just great! One is probably fighting the other and when my daughter comes to visit she's probably going to give me one of those great lectures that are designed to make you feel like an imbecile!
Got to go now! My Norton just jumped up and wants to talk to me! What HAVE I done now!
