Default Interesting Crowd

My wife and I had the pleasure of attending the Army/Akron game today. Really not much of a game. I'm not sure what was going on with Army's punter but he was really busy and netting only 20 yds a punt when we left to walk around after the 3rd quarter. Literally I could punt ****her than that.

In any event, an interesting crowd today because also in attendance was Isiah Thomas, Bobby Knight (being inducted into Army's sports hall of fame for coaching Army before Indiana) and the President of El Salvador, Antonio Saca

They presented President Saca with an Army football jersey and did some sort of ceremonial exchange of 'amnesty' or something like that. I wasn't expecting this so I didn't quite get exactly what they meant. Does anybody know what 'amnesty' means in the context of a visiting dignitary? (Clearly they weren't pardoning people, or at least for real anyway!)

Wiki mentions that visiting dignitaries of the military academies can ask the Superintendant to give amnesty to cadets with outstanding punishment tours. Maybe that was it.

Since Akron won 22-3, maybe they should give amnesty to the Army football team.

Default No doubt

I'm actually a pretty big guy, am 6'7" and now weigh 250 pounds. I'm 36 now, but even three years ago, before the three degenerative discs, I was 275 and pumping iron. On the way into the stadium Army makes its entrance and being a small stadium, I saw the team up close and I turned to my friend and said 'These guys are in trouble.'

They do not look like a D1 team at all.

But then again that is actually a credit to the program. Their mission is to educate officers. The typical body type for an offensive linemen is not in line with a military cardio physique.

I'm not even a punter, but even today I could take a snap and kick the ball out of bounds and net 30. Their punter was netting 20 yard punts (maybe he just had a bad day?)...high school punters do better than that!
