Default Military Humor

To All,

Here is something from the 21st century that I thought you all might enjoy seeing.

Military Humor.

Enjoy them. I'm STILL laughing.

Sincerely,
Unionblue

Dear UnionBlue;

Leave it to you Captain to lighten up everybody's day.

I liked the K9 and handler shot the best. Second came the warning about the Marines and Third -- well they all were good! Love the fellas hung on the wing with weapons--probably do a better shot at aiming anyway. LOL

Bravo--Good job.

Respectfully submitted,
M. E. Wolf

Default "Fix Bayonets"

Dear List Members;

Heard this one ages ago--maybe around 1973ish--

Civil War private along with his mess mates telling this story.

"I've got picket duty again." Said the Private.
Mess mate asked-- "Why you got picket duty again?"
Private responded --"Well, ya know when we fell in for drill'n and First Sergeant said "Fix Bayonets?" --[Private paused] -- "Well-" the Private said; "I told the First Sergeant that my bayonet didn't need fix'n."
Mess mate asked; "So?"
Private responds -- "First Sergeant told me I was special! And, told me I got picket duty again."

Just share'n

Wonder when the Private figured out the "Fix Bayonets" was to affix it onto the weapon.

Respectfully submitted in the spirit of humor,
M. E. Wolf

Also from the WotR:

"Sergeant, I bit into something soft in this hardtack."

"Worm was it?'

"No, horseshoe nail."

Dear Scribe;

LOL - Oh my! --That is so funny also.

And, it is probably true - I could bend a horseshoe nail with my fingers; hardtack -- can hold a building up using the edge side (not the flat side).

Bravo Sir!

(I may need to affix a lap belt onto my computer chair; laughing so hard nearly falling out of it. LOL)

Respectfully submitted (still laughing);

Lt: "**** it men, I told you to stop throwing your hardtack into the botom of the trenches! You are to throw waste toward the enemy trenches."

Sgt: "We do sir; but it keeps crawling back."

Dear Johan_Steele;

Oh my! I didn't know hardtack 'crawled' back!

I thought hardtack was too hard for the bugs to infest it. [Arty Johnson's German voice-Verrrrrry Interesting].

Thank you for another good one!

Respectfully submitted,

Unionblue, those were great. My favorite was the dog
spotting for the sniper.

Those are funny, Blue! Thanks for sharing them. I particularly like the reference to Hanoi Jane.
