Default A clarification

"This is a forum for posting discussion topics, questions, current events and anything else you'd like to chat about. Please post serious Civil War History threads in appropriate history forums."

Key word here is chat. There are topics that just naturally turn into an argument, if not outraged quarrels. Some tread the line and avoid fighting. How the chat on any subject goes will be my guideline. We have going a chat on the use of the A-bomb. It has been relatively civil so I won't touch it. We had a rant which I moved immediately as it could only result in a quarrel.

Just letting y'all know where I'm coming from. It's fair game so long as it stays civil, but I'll not let remain something that starts out combative. Rule of thumb, if you can't bring it up at a gathering with your in-laws, don't drag it into this forum.

This note will remain for a few days and then I'll delete it. If you have to respond, do so in a PM.

Default Hold the trigger figure...

All I say is do not be so quick to pull threads for if the question, the rant, and plain truth may be hurtful at times but a good banter may come from it and truth may be found...

Remember, one reason this is one of the best boards out there is that the Mod Gods allow us at times to push for truth and explore for the truth.....

Please, stop pulling threads just lock them that is more then enough to quiet rudeness in a thread. Trust the market place of ideas on this board to figure out that some members have BIG ISSUES....

I am a grand liberal and regulation of the market place of ideas is needed at times but over regulation can and will kill the market place....

Mike and I were on Vacation, and any moves that our moderators made I believe were valid and we stand behind them.

Thank you.
