Dear Poppa Shane,

I like Wolf Brother Crook's Rum Soaked Cigars. Start passing them out, Dad!

PS Getting "fixed" takes about 30 minutes, is done as out-patient surgery, and uses only a local to numb you know where.

Trust me, I KNOW.

Sincerely,
Unionblue

Good for you and your missus. When can we expect to see Aubrey William with a big fat Meerschaum?

But it makes your brain swell and instills an overwhelming desire to work nights.

We got him home Friday night and mom and daughter are bonding greatly w/ the little guy. He's already stealing hearts at a prodigious rate. To all appearances he's healthy as an ox and god willing will be in a couple mos. He's slated for heart surgery to open a valve in his heart that is shut. The plus side is that it is almost an outpatient surgery today, a decade ago it was open heart surgery. Though I won't lie to anybody and say it doesn't scare the hell out of me.

I'll just put my faith in God and keep my powder dry so to speak.

Hugs Shane, I am sorry you have to go through that.

We have a fetal echo this coming week to see if there are any heart defects. But since Adam's was something that was supposed to be open adter birth, we may not know till then.

Will be keeping your little one in our thoughts.

Now! where the pictures!

My daughter loves him and the the cats and dad all agree that he is a touch loud. No doubt he has a set of good lungs.

Mom... after her water broke he was out in two hours. Labor lasted almost five days though. She was quite happy to have the little guy out.

Glad to see the tyke bundled up like that. This was a thing your grandmother did, but not too many people these days. I cringe in the grocery store seeing the underclad babies in their carriers.
