Default Moving

My wife and I are moving and frankly I don't know how I got suckered into agreeing to this fiasco. Nothing quite like putting virtually everything you own into a box to move into a bigger place so that you can accumulate even more worthless junk. I'd rather get a barium enema. Unfortunately we have to move into my parents' house for five weeks because of the timing of the closings and I am being consistently reminded to turn off the lights, lock the door, etc. My mother just scolded me for making too much noise and having the lights on. I better go to bed or I might get grounded

CW:

You might hope that this is the very last time you ever have to move. Did it a couple of three times and will NEVER do it again. Dear One, who is very likely to survive me, might elect to move to a smaller place, but I will not. I look at my books and my tool shop and the way too much grass and too many square feet, and I say: "I'll live with the grass." I'm not moving any of that.

I get weary of mowing two or three times weekly at 2.5 hours per roundy round. But that is sooooooo far preferable to moving.

You might remember that Mrs. CW is upwardly mobile, and, until she gets tired of moving, you're in a bit of a quandary. But she will get tired of it. Eventually. So you are stuck. Until then. C'est la vie!

I feel for you, I really do.

Had to move about every 3-4 years when the wife and I were in the military. I hated it, she loved it.

Moved about 7 years ago and plan to move one more time to Southern Ohio in about 5 more years. The good news is, I picked out my final piece of property I will ever move to today. The wife and I acquired our plots and I now know my FINAL moving destination.

There is a real comfort knowing I won't ever have to move again from that spot and I won't have to worry about what to take.

Hint: Somes moves are less pain than others.

Enjoy,
Unionblue

Ladies generally love bigger houses, more debt, and watching YOU do all the heavy lifting. That's just how they are. Enjoy it.
