Default Civil War resource

Dear List Members,

I am not sure if any are familiar with the "Staff Ride Guide" by the US Army. It was an opportunity for officers to learn from past battles--taken from sworn testimony of participants before the Joint Committee on the Conduct of the War--a Congressional entity to investigate the Union defeats at First Bull Run and Ball's Bluff.

Hopefully, you will enjoy the Center of Military History which has web site access for those interested.

Please enjoy.

Respectfully submitted for consideration,
M. E. Wolf

Great resource. Other various organizations conduct these and publish on the net. A good idea when searching for info on a particular battle is to include the phrase "staff ride" in your search.
