Thumbs up New Feature: Member's Map

For the next 24 hours I want to invite all active members of CivilWarTalk to add themselves to our brand new Member's Map. You can find it at:

http://civilwartalk.com/Members_Map

Look for [Submit Locations] link just below the map to add your location to the map. Make sure you choose the CWT Members catergory when you add your link. PLEASE just add yourself to the map once! If you have any questions, just post them below.

FYI: All submissions must be approved by the moderators.

This is a great idea. I've often thought of polling the members to find out just where all us folks are located by state, but his might be better, especially if you can somehow create a listing by state and/or North or South.

Unfortunately, I don't know if my my pin was posted or if I may have done it twice, cause I couldn't find it on the map after I refreshed, so I tried again, thought I didn't do it correctly. I did once see it was posted sucessfully. (???)

I submitted Fort Point, Fort Alcatraz and the Presidio - the three key defense points of San Francisco.

I am reminded of Scotty's famous lament from Star Trek - "I would if I could, but I canna."

Apparently the idea is to point to my location on the map and then click on submit, but I don't understand how to point to my location on the map.

It's too hard, I added myself somewhere just above Knoxville. A bit to far east. Cant't figure out how to un do it and do it right. Guidance from the officer corp is requested.

I only see 4 white pins, same as first time I looked. There should be on in Chicago, and probably other places. Nothing on the west coast (gary) either. Is this some kind of hoax?
