Thumbs up Perryville

I attended the Perryville event this past weekend, and for those who did not missed a good one. I was the gray gun second from the end, CS

Default Oh Perryville

The event was a good one , anywhere between I think 5,000 to 8,000 re-enacters showed for this one. My personal favorite was the morning battle that started at 0700 under a full moon and chest high fog , coming over the hill as the third infantry regiment in , when all that could be seen is the muzzle flash and the smell of sulfer in the air , and the sound like I have never heard before. 0445 bugle was mighty early , but I would have to say very WORTH IT... I have been to the national at Perryville before witha flying artillery unit CSA but my 1st as infantry was truly spiritual I suggest it to anyone ...... Cpl T.Kidd 5th Ky Vol Inf C.S.A.

Dagnabbit, Johnny Reb! You make me sorry I didn't get there to see it. Sounds alive and well. Will you promise to keep us informed on the next?
