Log into eBay first, go to that link, and look in the History Groups section. The ACW Books group should be listed there.
Basically, the group is just a place for eBayers interested in Civil War books, games, etc. to talk about books, games, and other Civil War items they've enjoyed in the past.
I've never actually been a "real world" private... but I've been a lieutenant. And, trust me, they're both treated the same way! :)
